The Mark of Zorro Sequel

According to the Zorro Productions Inc website and the Zorro Swashbuckling News and Updates blog a sequel to The Mark of Zorro is forthcoming. Award winning Australian dramatist Barry Creyton (Australian Broadcasting Corporation and BBC) will man the helm for the follow up production replacing the late Yuri Rasovsky. Interestingly Creyton has a reputation for creating cinematic audio drama so the expectation will be for high octane sound effects and music. Val Kilmer and Ruth Livier will return to reprise their roles as Zorro and Lolita Pulido. No word on what other noted Hollywood names might be cast in the follow up to the Grammy and double Audie nominated drama.

  1. I very much look forward to hearing more of these - the combination of a classic known work and named actors ought to help radio drama reach a crowd that otherwise not be turned onto it.

Great website by the way - who is the author behind it? I'm Fred, run the Radio Drama Revival podcast (http://www.radiodramarevival.com) and producer of FinalRune Productions (http://www.finalrune.com)

  2. Fred,

Thank you for your kind comments. We too enjoy the production of noted titles from literature, television and movies that feature well known actors. Shows of this nature can only help further interest in this wonderful medium of entertainment.

As to who we are: We are three men and two women who love audio drama. Our endeavor is to listen to and evaluate modern era audio dramas then briefly highlight these productions in a manner that will help draw others to these fine shows.

In regard to Zorro: The Mark of Zorro is a drama that really grabbed our imagination. It was brilliant and we loved it. Our hope is the upcoming sequel will be equally as enjoyable and we greatly look forward to it.

As to your new series "The Cleansed" may say JOB WELL DONE. We are enjoying it immensely. You sir are doing audio drama proud. Thank you for your efforts.
