The series follows the adventures of hapless Englishman Arthur Dent and and his friend Ford Prefect an alien who writes for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy a pan-galactic encyclopedia and travel guide, Zaphod Beeblebox (Ford's semi-cousin and Galactic President), a depressed robot named Marvin and Trillian (the only other human to survive Earth's destruction). The Hitchhiker's Guide, different as it may be, is rich in comedic detail and thought-provoking situations.
